LA Lakers Rookie Julius Randle Actually Leaves With Broken Leg

LA Lakers rookie forward Julius Randle has left his NBA debut on the stretcher after injuring his right leg from the fourth quarter Tuesday nights.

TNT reported Randle carries a broken leg. The Lakers later said within a statement that the initial diagnosis by team doctors in the arena is a fractured tibia.

The seventh overall go for of Kentucky experienced his right leg immobilized as he left the court, casting a pall on the Lakers' season opener against this Houston Rockets.

The 19-year-old Randle was wounded when he collided with two Houston players under this Lakers' basket midway through the last period. He was in obvious pain because Lakers' medical staff tended to him, eventually immobilizing his leg while Kobe Bryant gripped his return support.

Randle was the SEC's freshman from the year while helping the Wildcats to the NCAA championship game final season.
